We work to grow the local birth worker community in Gainesville and the surrounding area.
We hold monthly meetings to encourage birth and postpartum professionals, families, and community members to connect and collaborate.
By fostering personal relationships among service providers of all backgrounds, we strengthen the network of caregivers in our area and promote greater understanding of the range of options and resources available to pregnant women and growing families.
The goals of the Monthly Birth Workers Meetings are:
- To provide a networking opportunity for maternal-child health and wellness providers to connect.
- Discuss needs and innovative solutions to community issues affecting pregnant women and growing families as a collective network of caregivers.
- Showcase various pregnancy, birth, postpartum, newborn, and breastfeeding resources and businesses in Gainesville and Alachua County.
We hope to cultivate a space for sharing and fostering a sense of community amongst all the businesses, services, and resources we have to offer new and expectant parents.
